RefWorks How-To: workshops in the GCW

Announcing three RefWorks training sessions for researchers at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford Campus…

Each 90-minute session will take place in the Library Computer Workshop (room UL101), on the first floor of the GCW University Library, and is open to all staff and postgraduate research students.

When are the workshops?

  • Tuesday 14th July, 2:00pm-3:30pm
  • Monday 20th July, 2:00pm-3:30pm
  • Tuesday 8th September, 10:00am-11:30am

  • The limitations and potential pitfalls of using RefWorks
  • How to access RefWorks on- and off-campus
  • How to import bibliographic records into RefWorks (through several methods)
  • How to set up and manage folders
  • How to share folders
  • How to select and edit referencing styles
  • How to use RefWorks to add citations to a Microsoft Word document using Write-n-Cite software
  • How to generate bibliographies in an appropriate style
